Jesus, som min själ har kär

Representative Text

1 Jesus, som min själ har kär,
Till ditt sk¨te låt mig fly!
Högt gå hafvets vågot här,
Hotande är stormens guy.
Göm mig, Jesus, i di famn,
Storm och vågor tystna hjud,
För min själ till fridens hamn,
Där hon salig skådar Gud!

2 Annan tillflykt jag ej har,
Själen håller fast vid dig.
Lämna mig ej ensam kvar,
Skydda och hugsvala mig!
Blott på dig förtröstar jag,
Åt mig, arme, handen räck!
Var mitt värn för hvarje dag,
Med din vinge mig betäck!

3 Allt hvad mig af nöden är,
Jesus, sinner jag hos dig.
Fallna själar hjälp beskär,
Led de blinda ljusets stig!
Helig är du, Jesus god,
Syndfull inför dig jag står,
Men uti ditt helga blod
Rening, lif och kraft jag får.

4 Nåd omätlig du mig ger,
Nåden all min syd betäckt,
Nåd jag öfverflöda ser,
Nog för fallen mänskosläkt,
Du, som lifvets källa var,
Är och blir till evig tid,
Lif i dig mitt hjärta har,
Evig salighet och frid.
