The Mighty to Save

Representative Text

1. Jesus the Saviour from Nazareth came,
Healing the lepers, the sick, blind and lame,
Seeking the lost ones, his precious life gave,
Jesus the Mighty to save.

Chorus:
Glory to Jesus, the lamb that was slain,
Glory to Jesus, I love his dear name,
Shout the glad tidings, the message proclaim,
That the Saviour is coming again.

2. Jesus the Saviour on Calvary's tree,
Purchased salvation, to all it is free;
Triumph'd o'er Satan, o'er death and the grave,
Jesus the Mighty to save. [Chorus]

3. Out on the mountain so barren and cold,
Far from the loving embrace of his fold;
Surged by the tempest, and toss'd by the wave,
Jesus the Mighty to save. [Chorus]

4. Sinner, the Saviour is pleading today,
Waiting to lead you in life's pleasant way;
If you'll accept the sweet promise he gave,
Jesus the Mighty to save. [Chorus]

He was converted about the first of the year 1863, was baptized in February, and was soon out in the field in Gospel work, with open doors for his labors.
