Representative Text

1 Just a little while, and the day will dawn,
And the dreary night be forever gone;
Just a little while ere the storm will cease,
Ere the heav'nly calm, the eternal peace.

Chorus:
Just a little while, O it won't be long,
Courage, fainting heart! let your faith be strong;
Soon our weary feet to the end will come--
Glory be to God! we are almost home.

2 Just a little while, then the toils are done,
And the battle fought, and the vict'ry won,
We shall lay the cross and the burden down,
To receive at last heaven's promised crown. [Chorus]

3 Just a little while, and the tears that stray
Down our faces now God will wipe away;
And the bitter pain and the wand'rings lone,
All will surely end at the Father's throne. [Chorus]

4 Just a little while--let us work and wait,
Til our Father's hand opens wide the gate,
And we hear His voice sweetly bid us come,
Evermore to dwell with the Lord at home. [Chorus]
