1 Let me travel the road, the road of life,
Where the races of men press on,
The men who are weak from their load of sin,
And the men who are good and strong,
I would not look with a scorner’s eye,
Nor hurl the cynic’s ban,

On the great highway of life,
The men who press on with the ardor of hope,
And the men who are taint with strife,

Where some sin-burdened soul I’ll meet,

And a guide to his wayward feet,
Let me tell him of Christ who has died to save,
