Representative Text

1 Let us scatter deeds of kindness
Along our way,
Try some gloomy lives to brighten
With love’s fair ray.

Chorus:
“Ev’ry little deed of kindness,”
Says Christ to thee,
“That ye do unto my brethren,
Ye do for me;”
“Ev’ry little deed of kindness,”
Says Christ to thee,
“That ye do unto my brethren,
Ye do for me.”

2 Let us fill with love and sunshine
Some darkened heart,
Let us choose, in serving Jesus,
“The better part.” [Chorus]

3 Just some kindly loving action
May help to bring
Some poor soul from Satan’s bondage
To Christ our King. [Chorus]

4 And the Master, once a servant,
Now throned above,
Smiles on ev’ry deed of kindness,
For he is love. [Chorus]
