Representative Text

1 Little boat, little boat, sail away,
Sail away, sail away;
Little boat, little boat, sail away,
All on a summer sea.
Gentle winds, gentle winds lightly play,
Lightly play, lightly play;
Gentle winds, gentle winds lightly play,
Play, little boat, for thee.

Refrain:
Sailing, go sailing thru day and night,
Over the silvery waves so bright;
Little boat sail with my heart’s delight,
All on a summer sea.

2 Little boat, little boat, take my boy,
Baby boy, baby boy;
Little boat, little boat, take my boy,
All on a summer sea.
Safe to the slumber-land isles of joy,
Isles of joy, isles of joy;
Safe to the slumber-land isles of joy,
Carry my boy for me. [Refrain]

3 Little boat, little boat: land ahead,
Land ahead, land ahead;
Little boat, little boat: land ahead,
Over the summer sea,
Little boat, little boat, now to bed,
Now to bed, now to bed;
Little boat, little boat, now to bed,
Carry my boy for me. [Refrain]
