Little Builders

Representative Text

1. Little builders now are we,
Building all the day;
Building for eternity
While at work or play.

Chorus:
Building, building, build day by day,
Building with the deeds we do and the words we say;
Building, building, while the moments fly,
May our work prove perfect in the judgment by and by.

2. Each a character we build,
Either good or bad;
If we work as God has willed
We shall all be glad. [Chorus]

3. We will take God's word in youth,
'Tis a hammer strong;
It will drive the nails of truth,
Holding us from wrong. [Chorus]

4. If rough places we shall find,
We've a plane called "love;"
This we'll use to make us kind,
Like our Lord above. [Chorus]

5. Evil habits all shall be
Severed from our lives
With the saw of purity,
Till not one survives. [Chorus]

6. Jesus is our Pattern true,
To him we must look,
He will teach us what to do
From his Holy Book. [Chorus]
