1 Lo! He comes, the blessèd King of Heav’n and earth;
Go forth to meet Him, go forth to greet Him!
Shout His praise and hail the day that gave Him birth,
That filled the world with love and peace.
Refrain:
Hail him! go ye forth to meet Him!
Hail Him! with hosannas greet Him!
Hail Him! Hail Him!
Lo! He comes on earth to reign.
2 Glad hosannas from our happy hearts o’erflow,
Go forth to meet Him, go forth to greet Him!
Joy of Heav’n is filling all the earth below,
In love’s glad praise that ne’er shall cease. [Refrain]
3 Angel hosts the coming of the Christ attend,
Go forth to meet Him, go forth to greet Him!
Heav’n and earth in glorious songs of rapture blend;
His praise shall evermore increase. [Refrain]
