Representative Text

1 Many trials I’ve met,
Many wait for me yet,
And my heart is oft weary and sad;
But my Helper is near,
And no evil I fear,
In His name I rejoice and am glad.

Refrain:
The righteous shall be glad in the Lord,
And shall trust in him;
And all the upright, and all the upright in heart shall glory.

2 In the furnace to prove,
God His face may remove,
But in darkness His promise is mine;
Soon the clouds will depart,
And my purified heart
In His own blessed image will shine. [Refrain]

3 I shall stand in that day
‘Mid the shining array,
Where the ransomed His mercy proclaim;
There with harp and with voice
In the Saviour rejoice,
And the glory will give to His name. [Refrain]
