Representative Text

1 May the Lord in love and mercy,
Watch between us while apart;
And the cord of true affection,
Bind together every heart.

Refrain:
May the Lord keep watch between us,
When our ways lie apart,
May the blessing of His presence,
Comfort every lonely heart.

2 May the One who never slumbers,
Over us His vigil keep;
Then will we be safe from danger,
When we walk or when we sleep. [Refrain]

3 When long absent from each other,
May we trust our Father’s care;
He will guard us from all peril,
He is present everywhere. [Refrain]
