Med fred og glæde far jeg hen

Representative Text

1 Med Fred og Glæde far jeg hen,
Ske nu Guds Vilje!
Mit Hjerte trøstet er igjen,
Let og stille.
Som mig Gud forjættet har,
Min Død en Søvn er vorden.

2 Det volder Krist, min Hyrde god,
Og Frelser kjære,
Som du mig, Herre skue lod;
Han skal være
Liv og Salighed for mig
I Nøden og i Døden.

3 Ham har du for os stillet frem,
Og fuld af Naade
Al Verden til dit Rige hjem
Lader raade
Ved dit dyre Frelsers Ord,
Som lyder langt om Lande.

4 Han er et Lys for alle Folk,
Som dig ei kjende,
En Hyrde tro, en Sandheds Tolk
Alt til Ende,
Evig dit Folk, Israel,
Til Ære, Fryd og Glæde.
