Representative Text

1 More lab’rers for the harvest,
O heed the Master’s call!
Still ringing down the ages
It comes to one and all
To sow beside all waters
The precious gospel seed;
Afar to bear a blessing,
Or help a nearer need.

Refrain:
More lab’rers for the harvest,
More workers for the Lord;
For those who share the toiling
Will share the great reward.

2 More lab’rers for the harvest,
With songs of sweet delight,
To swing the reaper’s sickle
In fields already white;
Or, at His bidding follow
Where barren deserts lie,
His own sure word believing,
They’ll blossom by and by. [Refrain]

3 More lab’rers for the harvest,
Shall we the call refuse?
Nay, rather let us gladly
The royal gospel choose;
The joy of serving Jesus,
Of working at His side,
For, with His faithful servants,
The Master will abide. [Refrain]
