For Jesus

My life shall be for Jesus

Author: Charles H. Gabriel
Tune: [My life shall be for Jesus]
Published in 1 hymnal

Audio files: MIDI

Representative Text

1 My life shall be for Jesus!
My hope and my desire
To do for him whatever
He may of me require;
I know his hand is leading,
And grace he will supply
For ev’ry need, if only
I answer, “Here am I.”

Chorus:
For Jesus, blessed Jesus,
My only thought shall be;
For Jesus, blessed Jesus,
Who did so much for me.

2 My work shall be for Jesus,
As on thro’ life I go;
My one desire to further
His kingdom here below;
And if one soul is rescued
Thro’ word or deed of mine,
That soul a glitt’ring jewel
Within my crown shall shine. [Chorus]

3 My all shall be for Jesus!
I nothing would withhold
Of talent or ambition,
Of sacrifice or gold.
Whenever He may need me,
No matter why or where,
I’ll go content, believing
He will be with me there. [Chorus]
