Representative Text

1 My sins the Lord has wash’d away
In His atoning blood,
And here I would forever stay,
Beneath the cleansing flood.

Refrain:
He saves me, hallelujah!
By the pow’r of love divine;
He saves me, hallelujah!
I am His and He is mine.

2 He is my peace and righteousness,
My Comforter and Guide;
A present refuge in distress,
Where I may safely hide. [Refrain]

3 Whatever ills my way attend
My soul shall never fear,
He will be with me to the end;
My blessed Saviour, dear. [Refrain]

4 My Saviour’s name I’ll ever praise
Who did my soul redeem;
My Jesus, and His wondrous ways
Shall be my constant theme. [Refrain]
