Representative Text

1 My soul secure, no fear I know,
With songs of praise I homeward go;
In light unfailing I confide,
In Christ the sunny side.

Refrain:
Christ is the sunny side;
Christ is the sunny side,
Safely he hideth me,
Gently he guideth me,
Christ is the sunny side of life.

2 No matter what my grief or strife,
No matter what the storms of life,
His tender care is ne’er denied,
In Christ the sunny side. [Refrain]

3 The healing water cheers my way,
The living manna greets my day;
My ev’ry need in him supplied,
In Christ the sunny side. [Refrain]

4 Would you from sin and darkness flee?
Would you from pain and death be free;
Then in his shelt’ring love abide,
In Christ the sunny side. [Refrain]
