o Zion, das aus Gnade
in diesem Land dir ward zu teil.
Wie herrlich sind die Pfade,
die dich dein Gott auch hier geführt,
wie wunderbar hat er regiert
bis hierher deine Wege!

2 Nun liebe deine Lust und schau!
Wie welt dringt deine Lehre,
wie herrlich wächst der heil'ge Bau
empor zu Gottes Ehre,
wie lieblich blüht die Einigkeit,
di auf der Wahrheit Grund gedeiht –
Gott baut hier deine Mauern.

3 Ja, Großes halt du, Herr, getan
an uns in diesen Staaten,
drum schwingen wir heut' froh die Fahn'
und rühmen deine Taten
und flehn: erhalt uns ferner frei
von Irrtum und von Tyrannei
in deiner sel'gen Gnade!
