1 O blessed Holy Spirit!
Most precious, welcome Guest!
In thine abiding presence
My soul hath found sweet rest.

Welcome, welcome,
Spirit from above,
Holy comforter,
Seal of perfect love.

2 Thy silent, mighty presence
Uplifts and comforts me;
Thy pow’r illumes God’s message
That I its love may see. [Refrain]

3 Thou bringest to remembrance,
In time of fear or need,
The word thy pow’r hath taught me,
Thou Comforter indeed! [Refrain]

4 Thou seal of my redemption,
O Comforter divine!
Rejoicing in thy presence,
I know that Christ is mine! [Refrain]
