Hunnis, William, a gentleman of the Chapel Royal under Edward VI., and afterwards Master of the Children in the reign of Elizabeth. In addition to his Psalm versions of 1550 and 1555, he published A Handful of Honeysuckles and A Hive Full of Honey, being paraphrases of various portions of Holy Scripture. Some of his pieces are reprinted in E. Farr's Select Poetry chiefly Devotional of the Reign of Q. Elizabeth. (Parker Society.) [No. 11.] He died June 6, 1597.
