Representative Text

1 O there‘s no sorrow in heaven,
No parting and no goodbye;
To those with sins all forgiven,
There’ll be no tears in the sky.

Refrain:
No sorrow is found in that city,
No heartache and no goodbye;
For all will be bright in that city of light,
For there are no tears in the sky.

2 O there’s no sad disappointment,
No eyes fill’d with tears to dry,
For there will be glad contentment,
There are no tears in the sky. [Refrain]

3 Up there no heats that are broken,
There no one to breathe a sigh,
No unkind word will be spoken,
There’ll be no tears in the sky. [Refrain]

4 Here hearts are sorrow’d by sadness,
For lov’d ones and friends must die;
But there is sunshine and gladness,
There’ll be no tears in the sky. [Refrain]
