Representative Text

1 O who will tell the story
Of Jesus’ love so sweet;
Of peace and joy and glory,
Found only at His feet?

2 The story, the story,
The story O so sweet;
I love to tell the story,
It makes my joy complete.

3 Ye whom He hath forgiven,—
Are not your hearts aflame,
To tell your hopes of heaven,
And magnify His name?

4 Out of the night, He’s taken
You into marv’lous light,
Nor has He e’er forsaken,
But led you by His might.

5 His mercies without number
Commend with loving heart,
That sinners wake from slumber,
And choose the better part.
