Author: Frank M. Davis
Tune: THE ROCK OF FAITH
Published in 2 hymnals

Representative Text

1 On the Rock of faith I am building,
Building for eternity,
On this firm enduring foundation,
Shall my place of refuge be.

Chorus:
Rock of faith my place of refuge,
Only refuge of my soul;
On the Rock of faith safely resting,
Though the stormy billows roll.

2 On the rock of faith I forever
Shall my soul's salvation rest,
Though the storms of doubt gather round me,
Yet they never here molest. [Chorus]

3 On the Rock of faith lies the vict'ry,
Overcoming evil pow'rs,
Lifting up the vail of the darkness,
Making sweeter life's brief hours. [Chorus]
