Representative Text

1 Out of the stillness, solemn and deep,
Over the garden, hushed for His sleep,
Tidings of triumph joyfully ring,
“Jesus is risen, Victor and King.”

Refrain:
“Victory, victory,” shout the glad story,
“Victory, victory,” loud let it ring,
“Victory, victory, triumph and glory,
Praise and dominion to our risen Lord and King.”

2 Out of the darkness, out of the gloom,
Where they have laid Him, low in the tomb,
Flashes the sunrise, seeming to say,
“Jesus is risen, Victor today.” [Refrain]

3 Out of the sorrow, trouble and woe,
Music shall echo, sunshine shall glow,
Easter’s glad message ever shall be,
“Jesus is risen, Victor is He.” [Refrain]
