Representative Text

1 Praise the name of Jesus,
Best and truest friend;
Let the glad notes ringing
Before the throne ascend.

Refrain:
Praise His name so holy,—
Jesus! Jesus!
Praise His name forever,
Jesus, our King!

2 Praise the name of Jesus,
Softly, sweetly sing;
Hymns from glad hearts swelling,
To glorify the King. [Refrain]

3 Praise the name of Jesus,—
‘Tis our chief delight;
Saints above in glory,
Praise Him both day and night. [Refrain]

4 Praise the name of Jesus,
Worship and adore;
In the heav’nly city
We’ll praise Him evermore. [Refrain]
