Representative Text

1 Praises, praises to the Lord we bring;
Lift we heart and voice a song to sing;
Every tongue His love and truth would tell,
And His praise in music swell.
Shout His vict’ry o’er the grave,
Tell His love and mercy;
Shout aloud His power to save,
Sound His praise anew.

Refrain:
Praises, praises to the Lord we bring;
Lift we heart and voice a song to sing;
Every tongue His love and truth would tell,
And His praise in music swell.

2 Praises, praises to His name repeat;
Sing His mighty love in measure sweet;
Strew His path with melody of praise,
And your sweet hosannas raise.
Shout His vict’ry o’er the grave,
Sing His love and mercy;
How He died our souls to save,
Sound His praise anew. [Refrain]

3 Praises, praises angels sang on earth,
On Judea’s plains at Jesus’ birth;
But a nobler song our voices swell,
Of redeeming love we tell.
Shout, He’s risen from the dead;
Satan could not bind Him;
Now He reigns our living Head,
Sound His praise anew. [Refrain]
