Representative Text

1 Proclaim, my soul, that Jesus died
And tore from death its prey;
His cry: "It's finished", death defied
And brought to hell dismay.

2 The cross, the witness of His love,
Who our transgressions bore,
Our way is to the throne above
That stands for evermore.

3 God's people, in your heart enthrone
The Lord who died for us.
The earth shall bow to Him who won
While suffering on the cross.

4 From Jesus' cross the foe doth fly
And fall before His sword.
The crown now beckons to the sky
Each child of Christ, the Lord.
