Righteous Are You, O LORD

Righteous are You, O LORD, and just

Published in 1 hymnal

Representative Text

1 Righteous are You, O LORD, and just
Your judgments are, in Thee I trust;
Your statutes all, by Thee decreed,
In truth and faithfulness exceed.

2 My zeal doth e'en consume my heart,
When from Your law my foes depart;
Your Word is pure, without alloy,
Therefore 'tis all Thy servant's joy

3 Though me the mighty often deride,
I turn not from Your law aside;
Eternal righteousness is Thine,
And all Your Word is truth divine.

4 Trouble and anguish vex my mind,
Yet in Your counsels joy I find;
Thy righteous truth shall know no end,
That I may live, true wisdom send.
