Representative Text

1 Send me to the sad and weary,
With a rose from Eden fair;
Send me to the souls discouraged,
That I may their burdens bear.

Refrain:
Give me, Lord, Thy richest blessing,
As I walk in righteousness;
Give me this, the gift most precious,
Bless me with the pow’r to bless.

2 Send me to the homeless wand’rer,
With the story of Thy love;
Send me to the weak and fallen,
Let me guide them safe above. [Refrain]

3 Send me to the friendless children,
Hungry, sad and suff’ring pain;
Send me forth to find the lepers,
Touch them back to health again. [Refrain]

4 Send me to the sick and famished,
That I may some comfort take;
Send me to the ones in sorrow,
I would help them for Thy sake. [Refrain]
