Representative Text

1 Shine on, thou Star of Bethlehem,
Forever, evermore,
And lead me to the feet of Him,
Whom all the saints adore!

Chorus:
Shine on, shine on, thou Star of Bethlehem,
Shine on, with mild, benignant ray,
Forever, evermore;
Shine on, shine one, thou Star of Bethlehem,
And guide me to the living Way,
To Christ, whom saints adore.

2 Shine on, thou Star of Bethlehem,
Until the Gentile lands
Shall glorify their Savior King,
With voices, hearts and hands! [Chorus]

3 Shine on, thou Star of Bethlehem,
Let ev'ry ray be bright,
Till mourning hearts with hope are thrilled,
And darkness flees thy light. [Chorus]

4 Shine on, thou Star of Bethlehem,
And may I worship where
Thy light reveals my Savior King,
And bring my off'rings there. [Chorus]

5 Shine on, thou Star of Bethlehem,
Until the night is gone
And on God's chosen children here
Eternal day shall dawn. [Chorus]
