Representative Text

1 Shine upon me, Holy Spirit,
Light the way to Calv’rys cross,
That I may to Christ surrender,
Count all earthly gain as loss.

Refrain:
Shine upon me Holy Spirit,
With a brightness all divine;
Come in all Thy wondrous beauty,
Shine upon this heart of mine.

2 Shine upon me, Holy Spirit,
Brighter than the noonday sun;
May I walk within Thy brightness
Till the crown of life is won. [Refrain]

3 Shine upon me, Holy Spirit,
That I may Thy Spirit see;
And from out the world’s great harvest,
Many souls may win for Thee. [Refrain]

4 Glory! glory! Thou hast heard me,
And the answer fully giv’n!
Thou art shining all around me
With the glorious light of heav’n. [Refrain]
