Simply Trusting Christ My Lord

Representative Text

1. Simply trusting Christ my Lord,
Simply trusting ev'ry day;
Trusting Him whate'er betide,
As I walk the narrow way.

Chorus:
Simply trusting, simply trusting,
Trusting Jesus day by day;
Thro' life's long and toilsome journey,
Simply trusting all the way.

2. Trusting when the shades of night
Hide each glim'ring, guiding ray;
Trusting Him I yet can sing,
As I onward press my way. [Chorus]

3. Trusting when the heart is light,
Trusting 'neath a load of care;
On the mountain, in the vale,
Trusting Jesus ev'rywhere. [Chorus]

4. Simply trusting, even when
Ev'ry cherished hope is gone,
And each earthly prop removed,
That my poor heart leaned upon. [Chorus]

5. Simply trusting to the end
Of this earthly pilgrim way,
When my faith shall end in sight,
And my night in perfect day. [Chorus]
