Representative Text

1 Sometimes on stormy waters,
The ship of life will ride,
And fight its progress onward,
Against the wind and tide;
But Jesus is my Captain,
However fierce the gale;
His love shall be my anchor,
‘Twill never, never fail.

Refrain:
His love shall never fail me,
No, never, never fail me,
The precious love of Jesus,
Will never, never fail.

2 Tho’ other helpers leave me,
This Friend shall constant be;
His blessed Word assures me,
He’ll always stay with me;
Whatever clouds roll over,
Whatever foes assail,
The precious love of Jesus,
Shall never, never fail. [Refrain]

3 ‘Mid shifting lights and shadows,
I still pursue my way,
Unto the peaceful Haven,
Of everlasting Day;
Against all opposition,
His power shall prevail;
The precious love of Jesus,
Shall never, never fail. [Refrain]
