Representative Text

1 Speed you Christian workers,
Speed you forth today;
In the might of Jesus
Speed away!
To the whitened harvest;
To the busy plain;
With heroic valor
Garner in the grain.

2 Speed you Christian workers,
Sing the toilers’ song;
Strew the path with sunshine
All day long!
Brighten up the duties;
Wear a happy smile;
For the road to Heaven
Is a sunny mile.

3 Speed you Christian workers,
Night will follow noon;
This the time for labor,
Darkness soon!
Day for earnest purpose;
Day for deeds of love;
Bare the arm for action,
Loyal servants prove.

4 Speed you Christian workers,
Hear the rally call,
Jesus leads His forces;
Forward all!
Where the need is greatest;
Where the strife is long,
Go with noble courage,
And inspiring song.
