Representative Text

1 Swing, snowy lilies, to and fro;
Tell ye the story soft and low;
Jesus is risen, empty the grave;
Victor triumphant, He cometh to save.

Refrain:
Sing, snowy lilies! Oh, tell out your joy!
Tell out your joy! Tell out your joy!
Lift the glad carol, the victor’s palm wave,
Jesus is risen, almighty to save!

2 Swing, snowy lilies, tell it wide,
Once more He lives, the Crucified;
Pain of the scourging and cross are past;
His is the vict’ry at last, yes, at last. [Refrain]

3 Swing, snowy lilies, pure and white,
Bring ye love’s off’ring, life and light;
Beauty and fragrance, your all now bring
Into His presence, the great risen King. [Refrain]
