1 Synge vi af Hjertens Grund,
Love Gud med Maal og Mund
For hans Gaver aller slags,
Som han giver daglig Dags,
Og for dette maaltids Mad,
At vi sidde rundt i Rad
Af hans Gaver mæt og glad!

2 Som hans Tjenere vi gaa,
Og hans Tjenerinder smaa,
Prise ham, os haver kjær,
Satte os paa Jorden her
Underlig af Kjød og Blod,
Karsk og frisk til Haand og Fod,
Gjør os Levetiden god.

3 Saa har Gud redt Jordens Ring,
Der er fuldt af gode Ting;
Berg og Dale vander han,
Græs for Kvæget vokse kan,
Jorden bær os Vin og Brød,
At vi ei skal lide Nød,
Des ske Tak den Herre sød!

4 Vandet og maa give Fisk,
dem bær Gud os paa vor Disk,
Fuglen, somi Luften flyr,
Alle skovens vilde Dyr,
Kvæget, som i Marken gaar,
Geder, Okser, Kjør og Faar
Skaffer Gud os til hvert Aar.

5 Bede vi af Hjertet, han
Os vil give Aands Forstand,
At vi sligt maa skjønne paa,
Faste i hans Budord staa,
Hellige hans Navn med flid,
Vor i Kristus Fader blid,
Takke ham til evig Tid!

6 Være Jesu Kristi Fred
Hos os i al Evighed1
Trøste Gud den, sorgfuld er,
Enten fjern hvad eller nær!
Gud bevar sin Kristenhed,
Og vor kjære Øvrighed,
giv os Fred og Salighed!
