She was right. We only ask for money twice a year, and we do so because we need it.

ممجدٌ عظيمْ
يا صانعاً عجائباً
أنت الإله البارْ
عرّفت كل أُمّهٍ
فِعلك للأدهارْ

2 بقوة عظيمةٍ
خلّصت شعبكا
مُفككاً قيودهمْ
فالمجدُ لاسمكا
منك المياه فزعتْ
وارتعد البحرُ
وارتجفت لُججُهُ
واضطرب الغمرُ

3 الغيم صبّ ماءَهُ
وصوّت السحابْ
أيضاً سهامك بدتْ
تطير في الضبابْ
في الريح رعدك دوى
والبرق قد أنارْ
فارتجفت وارتعدتْ
جوانب الأقطارْ

4 طرْقُك يا ربي العلي
في النهر والبحرِ
قد اختفت آثارها
فمن لها يدري
شعبك قد هديتَهُ
أيا إلهي البارْ
مثل قطيع غنمٍ
في وسط القفارْ
