Representative Text

1 The Master is calling for workers today,
O quickly arise, to the fields haste away;
And this will sustain as your toil your pursue,
You scatter with one hand, but gather with two.

Refrain:
Then sow the seed with a heart brave and strong,
Tho’ fields be rough, and the day dark and long;
A wonderful harvest is waiting for you,
A wonderful harvest is waiting for you,
Who scatter with one hand, but gather with two.

2 You scatter the little, but God sees it there;
He sendeth the sunshine, the rain and the air;
‘Twill ever be thus for His promise is true;
You scatter with one hand, but gather with two. [Refrain]

3 And so let it be as we toil for the Lord,
We’ll plant the good seed of His own blessed word;
Our hearts will rejoice as the harvest we view;
You scatter with one hand, and gather with two. [Refrain]

4 The field is the world, and the seed time is here,
Go plant truth divine in the souls far and near;
In serving the Lord there are blessings e’er new,
You scatter with one hand, but gather with two. [Refrain]
