The Pilgrim Spirit

Representative Text

1 The Pilgrim spirit moveth
Across the world this day;
Uniting youth in service,
To Jesus' holy way.
It knows no race nor kindred,
No narrow, selfish plan,
But only the fulfillment
Of what our Lord began.

Refrain:
We are fellow Pilgrims
In the Master's plan
To make of all the nations
One brotherhood of man!

2 The Pilgrim band that once sailed
Across an unknown sea,
Are moving yet across earth,
Their spirits still are free!
They seek release for mankind
From sin and war and strife,
To make our Father's kingdom
Our own in daily life. [Refrain]

3 The Pilgrims still are marching
Undaunted, brave and true,
Still seeking for their Master
Some work of love to do.
O Lord and Master, help our
Great fellowship to be
The pow'r to build Thy kingdom
Of love, that is to be. [Refrain]
