And lead you to infinite love,
Whatever it bring you of trial and loss,
‘Twill lead you to glory above.

It leads by the cross, it leads by the cross,
The way to the city of gold,
The way of salvation will lead by the cross,
And bring you to gladness untold.

2 The way of salvation must lead by the cross,
And show you the Savior who died
To give you a right to the mercy of God,
And give you all heaven beside. [Refrain]

O will you not travel therein?
O will you not ask that dear Savior today
To save you from sorrow and sin? [Refrain]
