Representative Text

1 There is a home among the blest
Where weary souls find endless rest;
Where God bestows eternal peace,
And happiness shall never cease.

Refrain:
O happy home of endless rest,
Where spirits are forever blest;
Teach us, O Lord, to worship Thee
Thro’ life, and thro’ eternity.

2 There is a home among the blest
Where sin and care can ne’er molest;
Where ev’ry tear is wip’d away,
And night is lost in cloudless day. [Refrain]

3 There is a home among the blest
Where Jesus welcomes ev’ry guest;
Where we shall hear the words “Well done,”
When life’s short race on earth is run. [Refrain]

4 Fit us for our unchanging rest
In that bright home among the blest;
Where we shall wear heav’n’s starry crown,
When we have laid life’s crosses down. [Refrain]
