Representative Text

1 There is a life of bliss divine
That all may taste and all may find;
There is a pow'r that cancels in,
And needy souls may bathe there in.

Chorus:
O taste and see, the Lord is good,
And waits to save whoever should
Upon his name for mercy call;
O make him now thine all in all.

2 There is a joy which fills each heart,
In it the trials of life depart;
There is a constant peace within,
The heart entirely purged from sin. [Chorus]

3 There is a hope that thrills the soul,
In him whose heart is perfect, whole;
There is a happiness; O take!
Which e'en starvation cannot shake. [Chorus]

4 O God, thou giver of it all,
In Jesus' name on thee we call;
Thy sacred word in us instill,
Come, Holy Ghost, our hearts to fill. [Chorus]
