Representative Text

1 There will be no shadows when we cross the great divide,
Skies will be unclouded if the Lord is by our side;
He will bear us safely, in His love we shall abide,
No shadows when we get home.

Refrain:
There'll be no shadows when we get yonder,
In that good land there is no night,
Down by life's river, love will grow fonder,
For there the Sun is always bright;
In that fair Eden we'll live forever,
O'er fields elysian,
We'll gladly roam, 'Twill all be glory, oh, hallelujah,
There'll be no shadows when we get home.

2 Here, is disappointment, sorrow often veils the sky,
Friends and loved ones passing and we have to say goodbye;
But in that eternal city none will ever die,
No shadows when we get home. [Refrain]

3 What a day of rapture when we see our savior's face,
And He bids us enter that good land and take our place
With the teeming millions sing of His redeeming grace,
No shadows when we get home. [Refrain]
