Representative Text

1 There’s a call to work in the fields today,
The lost must be gathered in,
Can the Lord of the Harvest depend on me,
To help Him some soul to win?

Refrain:
Can the Captain depend on me,
Ever ready and true to be,
When I hear Him say, “Go and work today.”
Can the Captain depend on me?

2 Should He bid me speak to my dearest friend,
Or to lift up a fallen foe,
Would I bear from His feet the message sweet,
And forth in His service go? [Refrain]

3 There’s a call to pray’r to the field today,
‘Tis the voice of His love and care,
And the soul of some lost one e’en now may wait,
The answer to my prayer. [Refrain]
