Representative Text

1 There’s a land of bliss eternal
Where the saints their Lord behold;
Half the glories of that city
Never can be told.

Refrain:
Meet me there, meet me there,
In the city of heaven;
Meet me there, meet me there,
I will watch and wait for you.

2 There the God of our salvation
Dwells eternal on his throne;
There the Lord who has redeemed us,
Waits to greet his own. [Refrain]

3 Here we part perhaps forever,
There we’ll meet to part no more;
Bonds of love can ne’er be broken
On that golden shore. [Refrain]

4 Will you meet me in that city
When the trials of life are o’er,
And with those who went before us,
Dwell forevermore? [Refrain]
