Representative Text

1 There’s a song in my heart as I journey along,
There’s a peace that will ever endure;
For there’s One walking with me to whom I belong,
In His keeping my soul is secure.

Refrain:
A Friend I have found who ever walks with me,
His name is Jesus, Jesus,
In Him I’m rejoicing from my sin set free,
Praising my Jesus.

2 He hath lifted me up from the bondage of sin,
From distress to a place at His side,
He hath help’d me o’er evil a vict’ry to win,
As rejoicing with Him I abide. [Refrain]

3 Living now ev’ry day in the light of His face,
Fearing not, tho’ the shadows may fall;
I will trustingly lean on His mercy and grace,
For He’s my loving Saviour, my all. [Refrain]
