Representative Text

1 There’s a sound of abundance of rain,
The blessing we know is at hand,
There’s a cloud in the sky,
There’s the penitent’s cry
Men are hungry for God in the land.

Refrain:
Send the blessing we pray,
Wend the Pentecostal blessing now we pray,
Send the blessing just now,
Send the Pentecostal blessing today.

2 There’s a sound of abundance of rain,
The church of the Lord is awake,
Pray’r and praise may be heard,
And the voice of the Word,
Men are willing their sin to forsake. [Refrain]

3 There’s a sound of abundance of rain,
And soon we shall see wondrous pow’r,
And where sin rules the life,
With its turmoil and strife,
Blessed peace shall control ev’ry hour. [Refrain]
