Representative Text

1 There’s many a soul will perish,
For want of friendly aid,
Whom Jesus has died to ransom;
Their full redemption paid!

Refrain:
Then why not be a helper,
Some precious soul to win?
Then why not be a helper,
To bring the lost ones in?

2 The Master hath need of helpers,
He calls for you today;
Then answer the summons gladly,
Thy service He’ll repay. [Refrain]

3 Then rescue a soul for Jesus,
If only one soul it be;
‘Twill bring thee a hallowed pleasure
Through all eternity! [Refrain]

4 If only a cup of water
Be given in Jesus’ name
To one who is faint and weary,
It shall not be in vain. [Refrain]

5 Remember, the greatest valor
Not only claims renown,
But lowliest deeds of kindness
Will gem thy glory crown! [Refrain]
