It was published in the British Psalm Praise (1973) as an alternate text to the liturgical Easter canticle "Christ Our Passover Is Sacrificed for Us." Drawing mainly on Paul's resurrection discourse in 1 Corinthians 15, the text confesses the basic doctrines of Christianity and helps us focus on the objective truth of what God has done for his people in Christ. "These Are the Facts" simply states the biblical facts of Christ's death and resurrection and of his work of redemption, which is the heart of the Christian gospel. Liturgical Use: A creedal hymn or canticle for Easter and other festive worship services; substitute this hymn for saying or singing one of the other creeds. --Psalter Hymnal Handbook
