This I know when storms are sweeping

Author: James Rowe
Tune: [This I know when storms are sweeping]
Published in 7 hymnals

Representative Text

1 This I know, when storms are sweeping,
This I know, when worn by reaping,
I am in my Savior’s keeping,
And He thinks of me.

Refrain:
Jesus thinks of me, yes, He thinks of me,
Jesus thinks of me and waits to bless;
This will be my comfort evermore,
Jesus thinks of me.

2 When sweet comfort I would borrow,
Strength and courage for the morrow,
Ready to relieve my sorrow,
Jesus thinks of me. [Refrain]

3 This I know, when foes assail me,
Or when evil pleasures hail me,
Grace divine will never fail me,
Jesus thinks of me. [Refrain]

4 When my soul shall reach the river
And from loved ones I must sever,
This will be my comfort ever,
Jesus thinks of me. [Refrain]
