Representative Text

1 Till my Father bids me come
To the rest awaiting me,
To my blessed, happy home
Let me tarry patiently;
Fretting not, tho’ days are long,
Working for His kingdom fair,
Singing hope’s sweet, happy song,
Till He calls me over there.

Refrain:
Till my Father bids me come,
Let me ever patient be,
Doing all I can for Him,
Till my happy home I see.

2 Till my Father bids me come
Let me fill the passing days,
Each with tender deeds of love,
Songs of joy, of trust and praise.
By His blessed aid divine,
Let me spread abroad love’s light,
Till the world about me shine
With it’s radiance so bright. [Refrain]

3 Till my Father bids me come
Let me wait His holy will,
Toiling for Him evermore,
Watching for His coming still.
When He bids me come at last,
Happy, happy I shall be,
All my waiting, toiling, past
When my blessed home I see. [Refrain]
