Træder nu til Herrens Bord

Full Text

1 Træder nu til herrens Bord
Op, I Nadvergjæster,
Tror vor Herre paa hands Ord,
Som hand Blod stadfæster;
Stille nu,
Kom ihu,
Hvad af Gud er givet
Eder her til Livet!

2 Kom med sand Bodfærdighed
Over eders Synder,
Ydmyge Gud giver Fred,
Angers Graad han ynder.
Slaa dig tyst
For dit Bryst,
Bøi dig for din Dommer,
Førend Hevnen kommer!

3 Ganger frem med Fromheds Skrud
Og i Troens Klæde,
Slige Gjæster Tækkes Gud,
Deri har han Glæde,
Tager Mad,
Drikker glad
Hans Blods-Bæger bedste,
alle herrens Gjæste!

4 Narr I værdeligen saa
Æde nu og drikke,
Eders Sjæle leve maa,
Og fortabes ikke.
Takker Gud,
Holder ud,
Gak saa hen, I Kjære
Fred med eder være!

5 Jesus, Herre, Frelser god,
Mød her dine Fromme,
Lad dit Legeme og Blod
Hjertet vel bekomme!
O forlad, Gjør os glad,
Sign os allesammen,
Og bønhør os, Amen.
